I’ve been using OurCal to share calendars and keep track of events with my family and friends. It’s cool that it has end-to-end encryption, event syncing, and private calendar chats. But I feel like I should check out other options… anyone have suggestions for good calendar apps?
Google Calendar is a popular choice and it’s free. It’s easy to use, especially if you already have a Google account.
I use Google Calendar too. It’s great for setting reminders and syncing across devices. How secure is it for sharing events though?
It’s pretty secure, but if you’re looking for super privacy, maybe try something like Proton Calendar.
I’ve heard good things about Proton Calendar. Anyone tried it? Does it have the same features as OurCal?
I’ve seen Proton Calendar mentioned a lot, but I’m not sure how it compares. What do you think?
It focuses on privacy, so if that’s a priority for you, it could be a great pick. It has calendar sharing features too.
Fossify Calendar is another option I found. It’s pretty basic but good for sharing with family and friends. Anyone else given it a shot?
I’ve used Fossify. It’s nice for simple event tracking but lacks some of the advanced features other apps have.
Tuta Calendar is another one to consider. It’s designed for collaborative planning, so it might work well for groups.
Yeah, Tuta has some cool collaborative tools, but I found the interface a bit cluttered. How do you guys feel about that?
Totally get that. It can be overwhelming with too many features all at once, but it does help with planning together.
Etar is pretty decent too. It’s open-source and focuses on simplicity. Anyone here like them?
I found Etar to be great if you want something straightforward. It gets the job done without too much fuss.
