Do any of you book a ticket first and then find accommodation once you arrive? I’m thinking of doing that in Thailand and possibly other places. What are your thoughts on this approach?
I tried that once and ended up with a stressful, expensive night finding a place to stay. Now, I always book accommodation for the first few nights to settle in, get connected to Wi-Fi, and reduce stress right after a flight.
I experienced that last month. Our flight was canceled twice on the departure date, so I had to cancel my hotel bookings twice as well. I worried the next flight might be canceled too, so I waited to book a hotel until we arrived. I wouldn’t recommend this approach, as last-minute prices are often higher, and options were limited during high season.
I think it would be a great adventure if you try that method, just hope you do not spend the night outside
I think that is risky because you might end up not finding a hotel that fits all your requirements
