Hey folks! I’ve been using OpenMediaVault for my NAS setup, and while it’s been great, I’m curious about other options. I know it’s based on Debian Linux and has a ton of features like SSH, FTP, and BitTorrent, but I’d love to explore some alternatives. What other NAS systems do you all recommend?
You should definitely check out Nextcloud! It’s free and open source, plus it has great collaboration features.
TrueNAS is a solid choice too. It’s powerful and offers a lot of flexibility for different storage needs.
I’ve had good experiences with ownCloud. It’s user-friendly and focuses on file sharing and syncing.
Unraid is another great option if you want a bit more control over your storage and apps. It’s a bit different but very powerful.
XigmaNAS is worth looking into as well. It’s based on FreeBSD and offers a lot of features for NAS setups.
