Looking for alternatives to Edits... any recommendations?

I’ve been using Edits for creating and editing videos, and I really like how it allows me to share on Instagram without watermarks. The high-quality captures, AI features, custom captions, and engagement insights are really helpful. However, I am curious if there are other video editors out there that offer similar features or even better ones. I know there are more than 50 alternatives available for various platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iPhone apps. I’ve heard that Kdenlive is a great alternative and it’s both free and open source. Other options I found include Shotcut, Avidemux, DaVinci Resolve, and OpenShot. Has anyone tried these alternatives, and what do you think about them?

Kdenlive is really solid. I’ve been using it for a while, and it has a lot of features for video editing. Have you tried it yet?

Shotcut is another good option. It’s user-friendly and has a decent range of features for basic editing. I found it easy to start with.

Avidemux is pretty straightforward too. It’s good for simple editing tasks, especially if you don’t need something too complex.

DaVinci Resolve is amazing if you’re looking for something more professional. It has a ton of features and is used by a lot of filmmakers.

OpenShot is a good choice for beginners. It’s really intuitive and has many features to help you get started with video editing.
