Leg Extensions alternative

I am following this template: 5/3/1 and Bodybuilding

The leg day includes the following exercises:

  • Squat–5/3/1
  • Leg Press–5 x 15
  • Leg Curls–5 x 15
  • Leg Extensions–4 x 12
  • Ab Wheel–4 x 12

Unfortunately, my gym’s leg extension machine is currently broken, and the maintenance team won’t fix it for a few weeks.

Could anyone suggest an alternative exercise to replace leg extensions, considering I already have squat and leg press scheduled for that day?

Walking lunges are the right way to do them, I promise.

Seek for a stronger by science article about bodyweight leg extensions, or reverse Nordic curls.

@Houston Leg extensions are the antithesis of Nordic curls. Leg curls would be replaced by them.
