Can squats replace leg press?

:weight_lifting_woman: Hey guys, I have been sticking to squats for a while, but lately, I have been thinking  can squats actually take the place of the leg press? I enjoy how squats feel, but I am not sure if they target my legs as effectively as the leg press. Has anyone here fully transitioned from the leg press to squats? I would love to hear your experiences :muscle:

Although leg presses are not as full-body as squats, they are still far superior to doing nothing for your legs. Replace them only if you are unable to squat on your own.

You are not the only one facing this dilemma! A lot of people enjoy doing squats but question whether they’re as good as the leg press for building leg strength.

I think you can comfortably do both as they target different regions and may perfectly compliment each other. Remember, leg press won’t translate to physical strength, it will just grow your quads instead. But if that’s what you’re going for, all the best!
