Hey all! I’ve been using UI for Apache Kafka to manage my Kafka clusters, but I’m curious if anyone here has tried other tools? I’m looking for something with a simple interface to track metrics and make troubleshooting easier. Any suggestions?
I’ve used Franz Client for managing Kafka, and it’s been solid. It’s not free, but it has a lot of features if you’re willing to pay. Definitely worth a try if you’re looking for something a bit more robust.
Thanks for the suggestion! I don’t mind paying if it’s worth it. Does it offer good performance monitoring?
Yeah, it’s got detailed metrics and a clean UI. You can track cluster performance easily, plus it helps with troubleshooting.
If you’re looking for a free alternative, AKHQ is great. It’s easy to use, and the dashboard is lightweight, which makes monitoring smooth. I’ve been using it for a while with no complaints.
Oh cool! Free is always nice haha. Does AKHQ support multiple clusters?
Yep! You can manage multiple clusters with AKHQ. It’s really user-friendly too, so you won’t have trouble getting started.
I’ve tried Kaskade for Kafka monitoring. It’s free and open-source, and while it’s not as feature-rich as some other options, it does the job if you need something lightweight.
Thanks! I’ll check out Kaskade too. How’s the UI? I prefer something simple and clean.
The UI is pretty minimal, which is nice if you don’t want to deal with too much clutter. It’s not fancy, but it’s effective.
If you’re running Kafka on multiple platforms, you might want to try Landoop’s Kafka Topics UI. It’s a bit more advanced, and while not free, it’s great for visualizing topics and partitions.
I haven’t heard of that one. I’ll definitely look into it. Does it integrate well with other platforms?
Yep, it integrates pretty well with most setups. It’s designed for real-time stream data, so if you’re managing a lot of data, it’s perfect.
I’d recommend sticking with AKHQ if you’re looking for something free and efficient. It’s simple, effective, and won’t slow you down. Franz Client is cool, but AKHQ is great if you want to avoid extra costs.
Appreciate the feedback! I’m leaning towards AKHQ for now. Thanks for the input!
