Best alternatives to Ubuntu Customization Kit?

I’ve been using Ubuntu Customization Kit to customize my Ubuntu ISOs, but I’m wondering if there are better alternatives out there. I’m looking for something free and open source. Any recommendations?

Cubic is probably your best bet. It’s free, open-source, and super easy to use for customizing Ubuntu ISOs. I’ve been using it for a while and it does the job perfectly.

Nice! Does Cubic support adding custom packages like language packs and apps?

Yep, you can definitely add custom packages and tweak the ISO as you like. It’s super flexible that way.

You should also check out Customizer. It’s another great option for customizing Ubuntu ISOs and it’s pretty straightforward to use.

Cool, I’ll check it out. How does it compare to Cubic?

Both are good, but I found Customizer a bit easier to use for creating live USBs. But overall, Cubic has more features if you need advanced options.

Distroshare Ubuntu Imager is another solid alternative. You can create a fully customized Ubuntu ISO with all your settings and apps included.

That sounds good! Is it beginner-friendly?

It’s not too bad if you’re comfortable with basic terminal commands. But if you’re new to it, there might be a bit of a learning curve.

I’ve heard of bodhibuilder as well. It’s more for creating custom versions of Bodhi Linux, but it can work for Ubuntu derivatives too.

Oh nice, I didn’t know about that one. I’ll check it out too.

Just stick with Cubic. It’s the best if you want flexibility and ease of use for customizing Ubuntu ISOs.

Seems like Cubic is the fan favorite here lol. I’ll give it a shot!
