Hey folks, I’m trying to get into Game Library Managers but IDK where to start. There are so many apps out there! Anyone have suggestions? FYI, I want something user-friendly.
I’ve used a few and honestly, some are way better than others. Have you tried GOG Galaxy?
Yeah, GOG Galaxy is pretty cool, but it can be a bit overwhelming at first. What do you mean by user-friendly?
Like, easy to navigate and not a ton of settings to mess with. Just plug and play, you know?
I’ve heard good things about LaunchBox too. It’s got a nice interface.
Oh, I’ve seen that one! Is it free or do you need to pay?
It’s free for basic features, but there’s a premium version if you want more options.
I tried a couple, but honestly, I just keep it simple with Steam. IDK if that counts as a library manager tho.
Hey, it totally counts! Steam does a lot for managing your games.
If you want something really simple, try Playnite. It’s open-source and super easy to set up.
What does open-source mean? I’ve heard that term a lot.
It just means the code is available for anyone to see or modify. So it’s usually community-driven.
I’ve been looking into this too! Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I’ll check them out.
