I recently switched from a Samsung phone to a Pixel with GrapheneOS and I’m looking for a FOSS alternative to the Samsung Health app. Mainly looking to track calories and workouts. Would be awesome if it’s actively maintained and maybe even has Material You design. Anyone know of an app like that?
Same here, been searching for a good alternative but haven’t found anything close to Samsung Health yet.
For tracking workouts, you can try OpenTracks. It’s a FOSS app that’s pretty well-maintained and great for tracking different activities. Not sure if it’ll cover the calorie tracking though.
Thanks! I’ll give OpenTracks a try for workouts, even if it doesn’t have calorie tracking.
I’d recommend Gadgetbridge if you have a fitness tracker. It syncs with some devices and is FOSS too. No Material You, but it’s a decent option.
I’ve heard of Gadgetbridge, didn’t know it worked with fitness trackers. Thanks for the tip!
You could try YAZIO for calorie tracking, but it’s not open source. It’s privacy-friendly and has good features for nutrition tracking.
Appreciate the recommendation, but I’m trying to stick to FOSS apps. YAZIO does sound interesting though.
Check out FoodTracker for calorie tracking, it’s FOSS but not the most polished. Combine it with OpenTracks for workouts and you should cover most of your needs.
Thanks, I’ll give both a try and see how they work together!
