Why I Believe AI Will Transform Sales and Marketing by 2025

I keep hearing people talk about how AI will disrupt software engineering and eventually replace software engineers. While I believe this will happen at some point, I personally think it’s going to take a few more years.

That being said, AI is already really effective at tasks like writing and summarizing, as long as it’s given the right information. It’s improving every day. And if you think about it, for many businesses nowadays, marketing and sales are primarily done online, where writing is the main form of communication.

Because of this, I believe that many people in sales and marketing will lose their jobs in the coming months. What used to require a team of 10 people may soon only need one person.

This shift is already happening with tools like Persana (AI for Sales), Wosily (AI for Content Writing), and Playground (AI for Design), where AI is replacing actual sales and marketing employees. These tools still require someone to operate them, but businesses are already managing with smaller teams.

Okay, that’s enough of my rambling. What do you all think? If you’re in sales and marketing, I didn’t mean to alarm you. Just a thought I had.

For god sake, get rid of the fucking marketing people ASAP

I do not think AIs will replace us in sales as they lack the natural and emotional appeal required in sales.

I completely understand your perspective. You’re right that AI will likely impact sales and marketing more quickly than fields like software engineering. AI is already quite effective at writing, summarizing, and automating repetitive tasks, and it’s advancing rapidly. It’s only a matter of time before it significantly changes how we handle these roles.

I agree with you, I don’t see how an AI model can negotiate and convince a new client to purchase a product.
