I’ve been using Syncthing for my file-syncing needs and I appreciate its open and decentralized approach. But I’m curious if other tools out there can do a similar job. I’ve heard that Resilio Sync is a suitable alternative and it’s free, but I also came across FreeFileSync, Rclone, rsync, and OnionShare. What do you all think? Are there any other good options I should consider?
Resilio Sync is definitely worth trying. It’s fast and has a user-friendly interface.
FreeFileSync is a solid option for syncing files, especially if you like a GUI. It’s free and open-source.
Rclone is fantastic for syncing files to and from cloud storage. It’s command-line based but super powerful.
rsync is a classic for a reason. It’s efficient and reliable for file transfers, especially on Linux.
OnionShare is unique because it allows for secure file sharing over Tor. It’s great for privacy-focused users.
