I have been using Typitron to improve my typing skills, but I’m wondering if there are better options out there. I heard Monkeytype is a good one, but what else is available? Any suggestions?
Monkeytype is awesome! It’s free and open-source, so you can customize it a lot. Definitely check it out.
What does open-source mean? Is it hard to use?
Open-source just means anyone can change the code if they want. And no, it’s super easy to use.
I’ve tried Keypunch and I really like it. It has a lot of exercises that help improve speed.
Does it have a lot of features? I’m looking for something that really helps with accuracy.
Yeah, it focuses on both speed and accuracy, which is great for practice.
Klavaro is another good option. It’s free and offers different lessons for varying skill levels.
How does it compare to Typitron? I want something similar.
It’s pretty similar but has more structured lessons. Might be worth trying out.
keybr is also a solid choice. I found it really helpful for learning touch typing.
Touch typing? What does that involve exactly?
It’s just typing without looking at the keyboard. Helps a lot with speed and accuracy.
KTouch is another one I’ve used. It’s user-friendly and works well for beginners.
Is it good for someone just starting out? I’m really new to this.
For sure! It guides you step by step, so it’s perfect for beginners.
