Mixed Reality Link Alternatives?

I’m looking for alternatives to Mixed Reality Link. It’s described as enabling a seamless connection between your Windows 11 PC and Meta Quest 3/3s headsets, providing a high-quality multi-monitor workstation through the headset. I’ve heard there are over 25 alternatives available across different platforms like Windows, Android, HTC Vive, and Steam. The best alternative seems to be SteamVR, which is free. Other options include visionOS, Meta Horizon OS, Snap OS, and NOMone Desktop for Linux and VR.

Can anyone recommend the best alternatives or share their experiences with any of these?

SteamVR is definitely a solid choice. It has a lot of features and is well-supported. I also found visionOS to be pretty good for certain applications.

If you’re into gaming, definitely check out Meta Horizon OS. It has a great interface for VR gaming and social interactions.

I tried Snap OS for some projects, and it worked well for multi-monitor setups. Just make sure your hardware is compatible.

NOMone Desktop is great for Linux users. It’s lightweight and offers good performance for VR tasks.

Has anyone compared the performance of these alternatives? I’d love to know which one offers the best user experience.

Performance-wise, SteamVR tends to have the most stability and support for a wide range of games and applications.
