Looking for Alternatives to WalkStar

Hey folks, I have been using WalkStar as my go-to music player for walking and jogging. I love the retro design and the fact that it only plays while I’m moving, but I’m curious if other apps out there offer similar or even better features.

I know foobar2000 is a popular choice, but since it’s not free, I’m also looking for some free alternatives. I’ve heard about AIMP and Clementine, which sound promising. Other names like MusicBee, Audacious, Winamp, and iTunes have also popped up.

If anyone has experience with these or other alternatives, I’d love to hear what you think. What do you like or dislike about them? Any recommendations for the best options for music playback while on the go would be super helpful. Thanks!

AIMP is awesome for a free player. It has a nice interface and supports a ton of formats, plus it’s lightweight.

MusicBee has been my favorite for a while. It’s got a lot of features and works great for organizing your music library.

I used to use Winamp back in the day, and it still holds up for basic playback. It has a nostalgic vibe for sure.

Audacious is a solid choice if you’re into a no-frills player. It’s simple and does the job well without any fuss.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I’ll check out AIMP and MusicBee first since they sound like what I’m looking for.
