Any good PayPal alternatives for online payments?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a good alternative to PayPal for online payments. I’ve had some issues with fees and delays lately. Any recommendations for something more reliable or cheaper?

Venmo is a pretty good option if you’re in the US. It’s owned by PayPal but has fewer fees for person-to-person transfers.

I’ve heard of Venmo! Is it safe for business payments too or more for personal use?

It’s mostly for personal use, but they do have business profiles now. You might want to check the fees for that though.

I’ve switched to Wise (formerly TransferWise). It’s great for international transfers and has much lower fees than PayPal. Super fast too!

Wise sounds perfect for me! I make international payments often, so the lower fees would be awesome. How’s the exchange rate compared to PayPal?

It’s usually much better than PayPal’s rates! You get the real exchange rate with just a small fee, so you’ll likely save a lot.

If you’re into crypto, you could try using platforms like Coinbase or Binance. They’re not exactly the same as PayPal, but you can use crypto to make payments and avoid traditional banking fees.

I’ve thought about crypto, but it feels a bit risky for me. Do they have good buyer protection like PayPal?

Not quite the same as PayPal’s buyer protection. Crypto is more decentralized, so it’s better for people who are comfortable with the risks. Definitely something to consider if you’re familiar with it.

Stripe is really solid for business payments. It’s better for e-commerce though, and the fees are lower compared to PayPal.

I’ve been thinking about Stripe! Is it easy to set up for small businesses?

Yeah, super easy! They have a lot of tools for small businesses, and their customer support is pretty responsive. Definitely worth a look.

Have you tried Zelle? It’s great for sending money directly between US bank accounts, and there are no fees!

I haven’t tried Zelle yet. Is it good for business transactions or more personal payments?

It’s mostly for personal payments, but some businesses do accept it. Just keep in mind there’s no buyer protection like with PayPal.
